WALK & ROLL ON DC

We are quickly approaching the final and most thrilling stretch of this six month Warrior Momz Walk campaign – the first annual Walk and Roll on DC from March 12-14.

We are drawn to our nation’s capital with a determination to create positive change, the same determination that takes care of our children with spinal cord injury, that same determination that inspired us to launch foundations and centers for health and wellness acres the country, that same determination to walk 22 miles a day.
We are determined to impact policy in DC and change the system!
If you are feeling frustrated, or feeling the desire to DO something, please join us on this life-changing mission. We need your voice; we need your presence in Washington.

Our focus is clear. We want Congress to make serious changes to existing policies impacting our community – specifically we want Congress to provide better access to care, provide better quality of life, and permanently eliminate therapy caps.

The final details of the Washington summit are coming together and we know many of you are planning to join us! Most will be arriving on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning and then we will gather for a celebration luncheon and training session at the Capitol Hilton on Monday from 1:00 – 4:00. Here we will go over the talking points and meeting protocols, review printed materials and break into power teams for our walk & roll onto Capitol Hill on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have some fun and do some role-playing so we can maximize every second of these short meetings with our nation’s lawmakers. If this is all new to you, have no fear. We will be training with some of Washington’s most professional and experienced advocates, people who have been representing organizations and constituents in the Medical and Health Care fields for many years.

Joining us will be people and teams from other organizations who, like the QUAD Foundation, share a passion for this community and guarantee to make this a great and productive DC experience. Organizations include United Spinal, Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, NextStep Atlanta, Center of Restorative Exercise in LA, get Up Stand Up in Minnesota and many others. We are thrilled to introduce our trainers: Michael Manganiello, Partner, HCM Strategists; Kim Beer, Director of Public Policy, Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation; and Justin Beland, Director, HCM Strategists. We will keep you posted on the website as additional partners come onboard.

If you are planning to join us, please register HERE! There is a nominal registration fee of $25 which will be used to offset the training costs. We want as many of you as can make the trip, but we have a limited number of rooms blocked, so please reply now. You will be responsible for your own transportation and hotel; our generous sponsors will host the luncheon on Monday afternoon.

Please make your decision and commit this week, so we are able to finalize our planning. Also, please invite others who share our dreams and goals for recovery!

See you on “The Hill”!
