Blog  #28 7million steps – THANKSGIVING ON THE WARRIOR MOMZ WALK.

Yesterday, although having issues with my back, I started walking early planning to see how I went after spending most of the day before laying on my bed with ice packs on my back.

Although feeling very stiff in the lower back area, it loosened up after a while and I managed a solid 16 miles.

Returning to the RV, Kelly had been busy all morning compiling a list of people with SCI who lived along the Warrior Momz Walk route. We will be messaging them over the next few days to try and get them more involved!

With no Thanksgiving invitations for lunch in the offing, we decided against having our celebration in a restaurant, Kelly choosing to create a masterclass meal in her Insta Pot…

We had purchased Turkey loins the day before, Kelly researched a recipe and managed to create a meal fit for an outstanding Thanksgiving feast.

I had found a personal favourite New Zealand Sauv. Blanc to accompany it. We get to have wine 2 nights this week — yeah!!!!

After we had finished eating, we sat down with the remaining wine and enjoyed a Kelly Thanksgiving Tradition watching the “Last Waltz,” – two hours of nostalgic music and the history of “The Band’s” final performance before disbanding. I won brownie points cos I didn’t fall asleep! But it’s the music genre I grew up with!

A quiet peaceful grateful way to spend the day…
