MOTHER OF SON WITH SPINAL CORD INJURY WILL WALK ACROSS AMERICA FOR SPINAL CORD INJURY ADVOCACY AND AWARENESS
Kay Ledson known for her “Warrior Momz” group represents those who care for loved ones with spinal cord injuries in an epic journey in honor of her injured son

Carlsbad, CA — Kay Ledson will head out on a Walk Across America aka The Warrior Momz Walk, for Spinal Cord Injury advocacy and awareness from Carlsbad, CA. Kay’s son Josh suffered a severe spinal cord injury (SCI) at age 18 and credits activity-based therapy as one of the main reasons he walks today.

The Walk starts on Friday, September 22 in Carlsbad, CA and culminates in Washington D.C. with a march on Capitol Hill in the spring 2018 – taking a message to lawmakers about the need for activity-based therapies to be covered by personal insurance plans.

On the Warrior Momz Walk Kay, and those who join her, will cover 3131 miles and seven million steps over 176 days across a dozen states.

Please join us to celebrate the Warrior Momz Walk at the event launch:
— Friday, September 22
— 10:30-11:30AM
— Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center
— 1580 Cannon Road. Carlsbad, CA

The brief program will include comments by Kay about this journey, individuals living with spinal cord injury about their first-hand experience with activity-based therapies and others with personal stories regarding SCI. And then the Walk begins…

Visit the Quad Foundation Website www.quadfoundation.org or the Warrior Momz Walk Facebook page for more details including Kay’s story and the Walk map. There are many ways to donate and lots of opportunities to volunteer along the Walk.
